Kitchen wall color

So there I was ... standing at the counter at RSC Rental Center. Ron had sent me there to inquire about a certain tool/machine we needed. I was not working on Friday (which I won't all summer) so I did what I could to help Ron with the house - I ran his errands. So ... anyway ... as I'm waiting patiently for the guy to find the tool, I look to my left and I see an office. A man finally exits and leaves the door open. I almost screamed, "THAT'S THE COLOR I'M LOOKING FOR!!!" (Yeah, I'm easily excited ... um, no more comments on that, alright?). That's the color you see in the photos above. I wanted a muted mustard color for my kitchen because I have chosen cherry cabinets with a BEEEEEAUTIFUL granite countertop. Also, I intend to accent the kitchen with burgundy and black, so the faux muted mustard was my only choice (I have gay male friends who are helping me with my colors ... need I say more?)

Anyway, give me some feedback, folks. Do you like it? hate it? suggest something wholly different?

Nothing says dinner like a puke-colored kitchen wall!

Yes! You're right! You've obviously had my cooking!

Hmmmm ... at least your comment was nicer than the other one! Yeah, it's not a typical color, but bear in mind that the photo does not REALLY show the true color. You know me D.D. - in so many ways I'm not "typical" ... so the colors I choose will reflect that ... to Ron's chagrin ;) I'm glad you remembered the color of my last kitchen ... and just as a reminder, the color was COPPER KETTLE! (Okay, pumpkin is a closer call) But know this ... the man who bought that house kept the same colors we had painted. He loved them ...

I should be home Friday ... Ron told me earlier that he took half a day off on Friday so he and I could go to dinner for my birthday. I'm thinking of asking him to stay home and just give me the cash! Only kidding ...

I should be home during the day mostly ... if not, just call my cell phone. I'm not ready to publish it on my blogger, so call me at home if you don't have it.
