Shang Dynasty

I am soooooooooooo tired. We (Hannah and I) have been working the last few days on her project. I, unfortunately, know more about the Shang Dynasty than I really ever wanted to know. On top of all of this we've also been trying to catch her up on her Geometry and Advanced Biology. My wonderful tutors at work have pitched in and have helped ... Courtney is a jewel sent from the gods.

If all of this weren't enough, my hands (and brain) have been wrangling with Eli's teachers ... he's not having a good year even though it is his second year of inclusion ... so I've been working with his teachers to understand what they're doing (and NOT doing). It's been a rough week.

And when it rains it pours ... I'm taking two classes of my own. One will transfer to a doctoral program I'm considering (Research Methods and Models - don't ya love stats?), and the other (Enhancing Literacy through Literature) won't transfer, but I can use the information on reading strategies for working with non-trads. Of course I had two article critiques due this week, a quiz ... all on Thursday ... and I didn't get a chance to study, read, or write until Wednesday evening. Ugh.

I'm am sooooooooooooooooo sleeping late tomorrow ...

What, they can't give her an assignment closer to home, like the Pancho Villa Dynasty?

OMG, I am sssoooooooo glad I have graduated my third and final time from high school and I am finished with projects like these!!! Although, I must say I see Hannah's artistic eye in this project, whereas my kids' looked more like "just the facts ma'am". Whew! I know more about the Roman empire, Stonehenge, and the Dust Bowl than most professors do, I'd be willing to bet.

Got my sympathy, Jen. Hang in there. That second high school diploma sure is sweet. (I'm glad they don't ask for help with their college work, they would know that maybe I DON'T really know everything.)
