I know it's been ... what? ... FOREVER since I've posted. Lots and lots of things have happened ... we've moved in, I've been buried with the APR report, and many more things. Just last week one of my students passed away, so my life has been consumed with that as well.
But on a GREAT note, my mom is here! I flew her in last Friday and she will leave again this Friday. The kids are having such a great time with her ... Hannah can't seem to leave her side! We will be leaving in a few minutes to hit some more shopping, but I wanted to post this little post first to let everyone know that as soon as things slow down for me I will be back to posting the usual mundane crap of my life!

Jen, your mom is the COOLEST!! I really had a great time hangin' with ya'll (even if I've never eaten so many desserts at once in my life).
I noticed that Hannah was right THERE the whole time! That's really sweet. My kids can't wait to get away from my mom....

Just curious, how the hell someone got "blog candy" from the original post. After doing a search, I didn't come up with anything in the news or anything that would SUDDENLY bring this up....then it dawned on me that perhaps it had NOTHING to do with this post and EVERYTHING to do with another person and/or blog. I intend to find it and for the record, your blog is a wonderful view of materialism at its worst. Hope Mom is proud of you.

First ... why the hell does someone's husband love a "port?" Are they a sailor? Do they desire sailors? Oh wait ... is that supposed to read PORN? Ahh, yes ... perhaps so. Either way ... my standard line here is ... "Um, okay." Whatever makes you happy (cough)
Secondly, yes my mom is very proud of me! Not only because she has seen me climb the ladder of success in my career, and raise two fabulous children ... she is also proud of me because I am not one to judge others for their successes. Not that my most recent reader needs to know this, but my blog is for my friends and family who knew my husband and I were building a home. The way I read your post is this: (1) jealousy is seeping from your words, and (2) you have more time on your hands that is probably allowed. Blogs, in my mind, are like television ... if you don't like what's on YOU CAN CHANGE THE CHANNEL. But it's okay if you want to visit and try in desperation to make yourself feel better for not having what I have ... pull up a chair and stay a while. I don't mind.
Thirdly, we ALL know who this really is, which is wildly funny to me.

Honestly I am not who you think I am. Seems I may have struck a cord but I am not anyone's sista or sister in law. I might be a "brotha" or brother in law but no sista. And I REALLY have no clue who "Suzy" is -- honestly -- I seemed to have stepped into it big time and don't want "suzy" in trouble for my b/s.
