Updated Photos

Okay, here are just a few ... I'm on my way out the door to head to Lowe's (grrrr) ... I have to change out the front door locks. I can't find the receipt, so this could prove tough.

More pics later ...

Howdy sis ...

I have more pics, but the house is still so unfinished that I hesitate to post more. Ron has crews working furiously every day trying to hurry the process along, but there is still so much to do. I am most proud of the kitchen, but will have to wait until Monday for more progress to be made. The cabinet guy will be back then and will try and finish all he can of the kitchen ... but then he has 4 bathrooms to finish cabinets in as well. Also, we had a custom cabinet built around the fireplace ... so as you can tell there is much more that needs to be done. Additionally, all of this doesn't include the countertops ... that's a different guy. If that weren't enough, the electrician and the electric company have to finish wiring everything ... and then install all of the appliances ... and then the plumber needs to come in and install of the fixtures. Oh, and the hallway, the kids bedrooms, our bedroom, the bedroom upstairs, and the exercise/recreation room has yet to have flooring installed. THIS is why I haven't taken more photos.

You couldn't reach me at the 9139 # because the phone was accidently unplugged. We seldom use the home phone so I never notice it had come unplugged. You can ALWAYS reach me on my cell ... I give that number to all of my students so I make sure to keep it charged and ON me.

Oh, and one more thing ... don't hate me because of the house (I know you're kidding ... right?). It's just brick and mortar ... a fancy place to hang our hat ... we have learned through everything that it doesn't matter what our house looks like or how expensive our vehicles are ... the importance is that we did it all together. We've come a long way ... lived in some really crappy places ... and lived many years without a dime in our pockets while we endured years of college and sacrifice. We know the real value of life and it's not this big expensive house ... it is whether or not we can call it "home" with our kids and do we continue to help others reach their goals, too ... we do and we will.

You know, we look around the new house ... and at times are overwhelmed that we will actually live in it soon ... and it always makes us think about how hard we have worked to have what we have now. It's really a powerful thought.

I miss hearing your voice, too ... I have SO much to tell you.

Man, I hope you put up blinds on that window by the tub or I hope that lot is HEAVILY, HEAVILY wooded. Ya can't be freakin' out the neighbors like that.

To anonymous,
There are no neighbors unless you consider the deer in the back yard. My wife already has a hanging light fixture picked out with a dimmer switch not to mention a big ass plastic "bucket looking" vase that will hold plenty of beer. Time to stock up on the vitamin "V" ...R

My husband has answered the question before I had the chance to! I have to agree with both anonymous (most likely Will) and Ron ... first, blinds will be on the windows. You're right - who wants to see that? EEEK. Besides, Ron would set off an epidemic of penis envy if we didn't have a way to block the show (heh heh). And Ron is also right ... dimmer switches and candles will be plenty ... it's the beer I'm worried about keeping in stock!

If you end up in there with another chick, he'll need the beer AND the camera.

Ohhhh, so sorry to disappoint. Jen doesn't play on THAT team ... not even as a substitute. Now, I support the other team ... they can recruit as many players as they deem necessary ... I just can't play that game.

I couldn't keep a straight face.
