Look! We have grass, man! (Not THAT kind of grass, Ginger ...)
This is our back yard (well, soon-to-be backyard). They (whomever "they" are) put the grass down last week. The tile guys - and that's an official title - are finishing the kitchen and den today. They still need to put in the grout, and finish the master bathroom.
Wooo hooo! It won't be long now!

Yeah, I can't wait for the inside to be finished either. A week from tomorrow is the day the cabinets are going to be put in. It will probably take them a week as we had all of the cabinets custom made. Well, except those in the laundry room. No one will see them except us ... um ... I mean, except ME!
I talked with Mom last night ... we had a GREAT chat ... we laughed most of the time. She told me how you were helping Amanda move from one place to another. Your Mom-work is never done, huh? I hope she likes this other place better ... knowing Amanda she'll have it looking like her own little palace in only days.
Yes, Hannah will be 15 years old on Monday! We can hardly believe it! I was going through an old box yesterday that we had left at Ron's granny's house and it was filled with the kid's school stuff from 8 years ago. OMG ... you would not BELIEVE the crap I saved!!! I decided to purge the box of old classwork, but kept all the pictures they had colored or painted. Also inside the box I found a "journal" that Hannah had written in 1st grade ... it included 7 or 8 photos of her the teacher had taken. I typically don't get out the photo albums much ... so it was a blast to the past 8 years! Eli had a picture album of himself in there, too. Ron and I were in tears laughing at them ... they have grown SOOOO much in 8 years!
Ahhh, those were the days ...
You should call me soon ... I've got some hysterical things to tell you ...
Let me know when is good for you. Give Jerry and a hug for me ... oh yeah, give yourself one, too! :)

Yes, I was excited about your grass! No, I didn't think it was THAT kind of grass! ;)
Your house is gorgeous already! You've done an amazing job choosing the cabinetry & paint & tile & EVERYTHING! I'm thrilled for you and expect you to be just as thrilled for me when we build our dream house. Whenever that may be.

I hardly ever use a computer other than work, but I had to post today. I've been at TFM 3 years today and posing better than ever after 5 plus years as a PA. I'm also happy to say that Jenn and I are "celebrating" tonight. After 18 years of marriage, she still "does it" for me as much as she did the first day I saw her 23 years ago. I love you, R
Hey DD,
Thanks for the compliment. Yes it was a stab at humor that I'll just leave at that. Jenn and I are doing great. I'll be glad when I can get home from work and enjoy "free time" though I know it will probably never happen. This house is the biggest project I've ever taken on but so far so good. We may be showing up at your door in a year or so with no place to live because of bancruptcy. I miss talking to you and wish you lived here. Ron
